Ever wonder what happens if the gas pressure inside the starter exceeds the containers capacity? I don't have to wonder any more!

Ernest has made a big ole mess. I don't think he has committed starter suicide so I am going to keep going.

Infact, from the size and number of his bubbles, he looks rather healthy.

Ernest has nary a trace of vinegar smell. He now smells primarily of yeast/dough.

I may be dumb, but I ain't stupid. Ernest, and his bubbles, have been moved to more spacious quarters.
