Well I paid more attention anyway.

I liked the way the 'mistakes' looked when braided and panned, but I thought it would look nicer in a smaller pan. This is an 8"x4" pan.

Here's a basket O'Boule.

They proof nicely in about 5 hours.

Although I still want the pan loaf to come up higher.

They baked, as they were supposed to, for 35 minutes @425º.

Ther results were similar to the errant first attempt. I think there was a little better crust development the second time around.

I really like this bread, baked either correctly or incorrectly.
